the decision is............

We called the juditial office (Namsfogden) wednesday and the y said that a decision has been made. Last time they made a decision they came and delivered personally. Its sunday and we have so far not heard or recieved any letters in mail. So exiting.....
One option is that the police is gonna come with force and hand over the papers and get us physsically out of the house. Another more pleasant and much more preffered one is that they are still rational, civilized people and its just that the post is slowwww......

And there was an article about us in the KLASSEKAMPEN print version wich i wil be scanning and making avalable asap.


I ordered 15 books from amazon on gamedevelopment and 4 of these are missing.....(dodgy post)...........

We got this letter from landloards lawyers in postbox the other day. A couple of days before we vent to the so called negotiation meeting to be more presise. Don´t really know what to make out of it. It says we should leave the house, but we have no place to go and we are waiting for the court decision. you can also read their case presentation in the court if you missed it. And afcorse the claim.

First we were falsely accused of having done things we hadn´t done and the accusation had a lawyers fee attached to it. It was 14 650 at the time. Meaning if we accepted the lies and payed the lawyers, than case whold be dismissed. Than if we wanted to clean ourselves from lies and if we wanted the truth to come fourth we would haveto risk a greater fee. Which doesn´t make sence. Why do we have to pay the lawyers for having fabricated lies at all? The claim this time is of ridiculous 35 000 + taxes. Distorted morality is what we are experiencing here. And its perverse, that it s being done in the house of justice where moral integrity shold be a guiding norm for decisionmaking.

The things we have done should be rewarded in a descent society. Not punished economically or other wise. Now it is up to judge Øyvind Dehli to make a statement.

The statement we wrote to address the false accusations from the landlords and their lawyers can be read here. The accusers had two lawyers while we proudly represented ourselves. Procedurally we were asked to choose one spokesman for the group. We chose Mari as our spokeswoman. Mari and rest of us did a fantastic job. We rejected the lies presented in landlords and lawyer’s views expressed earlier leading to the previous decision. And the court will make another decision after this meeting. And we are all exited about it.... 
I d like to also mention the way police has handled the case witch is positively unusual. Perhaps its because we have chosen open strategy, communication and discussion instead of barricading. They said that they will be waiting for the judicial systems decision and hopefully seen that making fourteen people homeless for the property right to prevail over rationality, just to let the house stand and rot is not a solution that anyone will gain from. This is more than just Us The Squatters versus Øvre Lodalen Boligutvikling AS. It is about what kind of a society do we want? Rat race? Where garbage rises? Do we want there to be cynicism, greed and antagonism to be the order of the day? Or do we want solidarity, equanimity and diversity to be the norms in modern civilized urban development desisionmaking. 
A journalist from a local newspaper came by today, asked some questions, made some notes......

A letter that we have been colaboratively writing to the authorities but at the end desided NOT to send has magically found its way to the authorities hands. Suspicios! to say the list. It created a tention and some atmosphere internally that is not exactly what we needed the days before the negotiation meeting wich reminds me that the meeting is in room 616 not 606 as said previously.. We all are in shocklike state but we keep it up and get thigs done surprisingly......The polish members have chosen not to show up in court while we "locals" are preparing for the meeting tomoro.

In all the rush nobody seems to have thought that many of the accused don´t speak norwegian. And if theres no translation arranged are they gonna be sentenced without understanding that the accusations are falce and they havent done anything illegal.

We are told that we are gonna get a big room in the courthouse (room606) for the negotiation meeting. It seems that they are expecting alota people to show up. Where do they have this idea from i donno but its overwealming that support is expected. Also we have recieved a letter from Tommy Bruland saying that the police are not gonna do anything until the court decision. Thats a good sighn. Its tough desision to show up in a courtroom without a lawer. Standing tall and defending our actions. The strenght we have is of moral kind not knowledge of paragraphs and expensive suits. Hopefully we will be able get our message through. Friday 09 00 at the courthouse room 606.

I found this thread at Skyscrapercity wich is a comunity of Arcitects and Cityplanners from all over the world discussing arcitecture. You might have guessed that hey share enthusiasm for high buildings. In there the project for Øvre Lodalen is discuseed. Now, remember this dudes are Cityplanners and they have insights and eye for detail. Their comment is that "lets hope this project never gets realised". And i couldnt agree more. Last thing the area needs is more ugly buildings. Anyone who is familliar with the neighbourhood knows this. Yesterday we meet and talked to some of the youth from the area. They happen to also be intrested in animation and it was fun to meet them. The two guys Magnus and Kristoffer told us how easy it is to be recruted to "local gangs that are upto no good" becose there is no other alternatives. In oficial strategy papers it says they want there to be variety of activities for youth run by the comune in area and that they are conserned about the drugabuse and crime statistics and such. But for some funny reason the nothig is done about it........

The fundamental question is how far can the propperty right go before users rights.
The owners, Øvre Lodalen Boligutvikling AS have let the propperty abandoned and collect garbage for 5 years....and as long as theres the conflict with the Lodalen Boretslag about the construction plans why arent people like us, that need houses allowed to use these houses? What kind of a Society is punishing its members for driving away garbage from and start using a house that is abandoned by its owners? These are serious questions we need to ask ourselves as sivilised society.

Sølvi and I went to the courtroom to hand over the request for the negotiation meeting so that the rules described in Namsmannens own website is followed and that we get a chance to adress the lies and fabrications that lead to the invalid conclution made by them (kjennelse).Yess and we got to film it. The people in the office were sort of polight but not entirely willing to share their knowledge. Like for instance i asked the lady if they have alot todo these days or if its quiet? In ordet to know wether this thing is gonna take days months or years. She said something like "I cant talk about that"...or somesuch nonsense.... I was gonna post a video but the stupid wire from HD camera to the laptop is buggy......... i l do it asap.

Later Sølvi got a phonecall from Tommy Bruland he wanted to know whats up. After Sølvi told him he had said that most likely theres not gonna be any action from the police this wednesday wich is a small step in the right direction.

back to Squatting

Mari and Per went to a lawer who had told them that if we send the complaint we wil risk getting a bigger fine and one of us may end up getting the responsibillity for everyone elses actions wich is absurd. We all came to the house at different times from different places with different motivations, backrounds and desires. Thats why its hard to come up with a manifest that describes everyones motivations and visions for future. And its not too strange when you think about most lawers are also landloards. So they have an agenda to supress and to intimidate squatters from acting....On the other hand its hard to give up the fight, we know we are right and that its much more than just what we are doing its larger question about what kind of a society we are......most likely is that we re going to show up monday at the courthouse and ask for a negotiation meeting acording to the rules.

We are having a meeting today at 17 oo we wil talk about the bright and sunny future...

This is one of many puzzle pieses that make the city Oslo in 3d. This model I got from Knut Håkon Frølich. He is arcitecture student and we share enthusiazm about building the city of Oslo in 3D. We are collaborating in this. I am expecting some game engine related books and dvds from Amazon and you can guess if I am looking forwards to get the geometry across into the engine... Knut Håkon is generously sharing his work with me so ican do some animation and rendering tests in maya...the idea is to be able todo walks and fly throughs through the streets of Oslo in Maya for VFX or maybe import the geometry into a game engine and and shoot some dumb zombies..or design a game called "squattAhouse" where you get points...in search for the truth.... anyways here is a quick lighting test to see if geometry is tight....a turntable 360 degree loop is being rendered by some of the G5 computers at school..we need to set up renderClusters to be able to use all the prosessing power thats idle istead of having to wait for days.......i see its been working all night and its half done....288 of 400 frames of animation....

breech of FORMAL PROSEDURES

On tuesday the 28 th we had visitors from the local juditial office. 2 guys from Namsmannen and Tommy Bruland from the police. They informed us that we must moove out of the house and that we shold do it before tuesday. Meaning they will come to moove us by forse on wednesday. They also had these papers with a "temporary desision" (kjennelse). By doing this thy brake their own rules and it s a breech in formal proseedures described in their own website. When theres a disagreement between two parties they are usually called in to a meeting . In this meeting the acusations can be presented and the accused can have a chanse to defend themselfs. Than a desision can be made. In our case there has been presented one sides view. The acusers. And there are several errors and untruths in the premises that lead to the invalid conclution (kjennelse). I wil be scanning the docks and post them with some comments here as soon as they fix the scanner here at the Academy. To make long story short.... we disregard this desision on mentioned grounds and we call for a meeting....
We are writing a complaint wich will be delivered tomoro. And we are making a video documentary.

I have started modeling the hous(es) in maya to be able to previsualise
wallpaintings artworks ect....heres WIP render from the lake Loelva. The red box beside the green house(where we are) is a buss. nd the green pyramide like structure is the tent where Marcin and Marcin live. Afcorse i needto add some textures, trees and more settle details to bring it away from computer(ish) ugly look and closer to photorealism. It takes a bit more than a days work :) ....
I manna try and post a turntable animation of the progress with wireframes and shaded view in short while in mean time enjoy the sun while i am inside and doing CG......dont be shy and comment.....

First Wave from the landloard

Yesterday was the deadline the landloard had given us to moove out of our home. We hadn´t moved sinse we had no place to go. Nobody came during the day and we started to think maybe it was just a local joker that was pretending to be the landloard...but by the end of the workday Tor Jakobsen came and he wasnt willing to discuss. it seemed obvious that he was repeating the manuscript they had developed in the in the boardroom and he had no way of saying anything other.

I even tried to talk to him about arcitecture. It didnt help much he was repeating mechanically.......
